Stop and Smell the Roses
I bet today is a somewhat busy day. You've got places to be and things to do. Maybe you've procrastinated and are realizing that you've let things wait long enough. Maybe you're so on top of the game, that you are already thinking about the things you need to do next week!
But I encourage you to just stop for one moment.
Get outside if you can. (cracking a window works too)
Take a deep breath and relax.
Breathe out the hurried energy, any worry, any fear, any anxiety, any negative vibes.
Breathe in newness, fresh beginnings, calm, and relaxation.
Take a moment to admire your surroundings. Enjoy the little things, whether it's a beautiful sun, or the little piece of grass growing through the concrete; whether it's a comforting breeze, or the quietness of the office.
Maybe you have 20 minutes to just relax, meditate, and enjoy your surroundings; or maybe you have 2 minutes just to collect yourself and get some peace. No matter how long you have today, take a moment to stop and smell the roses.
